This week at Emmettnaz - Update for July 24th

 Hello Church Family!

This last weekend I had an opportunity to go up into the mountains backpacking with some of our church family. What an amazing creation God has given to us! During one of our devotional times, I encouraged us to pay attention to the things around us and be sure to give God praise for it all.  Jesus said in Luke 19 that if we won't give praise then even the rocks will cry out! We really don't have to go to the mountains to find something to give God praise, do we? We have so many amazing things around us. We are truly blessed! Let's not forget to give God praise!

Luke 19
37 When Jesus came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:
38 “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
39 Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”
40 “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

Service Focus this Sunday:

This Sunday we start a new sermon series called Retold. We will be looking at stories we learned as kids. ​This week we will look at Noah and his ark. We have heard the story of Noah's Ark as kids. We might even have had our rooms decorated with an Ark theme. But do we really know the story? And how does it fit into the story of God and humanity in Scripture?
