Hello Church Family!
Last Sunday we started a new sermon series on Keeping Score. It might have been better named "why you should stop counting". The first week we talked about forgiveness. How many times do we have to forgive before we can finally start taking offense at what people are doing?
And I don't think the answer was all that surprising, but nonetheless difficult. And yet how can we show gratitude to God for our own forgiveness if we are not willing to do the same for others? Tough stuff but certainly something that will help our hearts prepare for Thanksgiving. If you missed and want to get caught up, here is the link.
This week we move into how we deal with failure... and our answer to this question will help us either live into gratitude or not. It should be an interesting discussion. (Event Info)
Actually, in case you haven't checked it out yet, our media team has made some great upgrades to our livestream. We have successfully switched internet providers to give us a more consistent connection and we have added a second and third camera to the mix. It is looking really good! Great job everyone!
Another upgrade we haven't talked about is in our online giving. Online giving has been an incredible blessing to us in this challenging time. That being said, when we first started online giving, some of you had a harder time connecting with their bank account because their bank was not one that was fully supported or it was verified through micro transactions that were confusing.
Our online giving provider has now switched to a larger company that makes connecting with any bank much easier and even more secure (article). So if you would rather give online through your bank account instead of your credit or debit card, you might check into it again. I know on the church end of things, the transaction fee is cheaper with a bank account transaction versus a card because it is a certain amount (30 cents per transaction) rather than a percentage. Not a huge deal either way but possibly something to consider.
