Means of Grace - Update for Sunday, January 29th

Hello Church Family!

This Sunday we finish up our sermon series Shape UP. We have been looking at different "means of grace", things that we see in Scripture, and especially what Jesus did and taught His disciples to do, to grow in their relationship with the Lord.
By the end of Sunday, we will have covered four of these... but the truth is that there are all sorts of ways that we can take advantage of the gifts the God has given us by His grace. Some that come to mind that we haven't mentioned: baptism, the Lord's Supper, hearing God's Word preached, fasting, serving the poor, visiting the sick, visiting those in prison, blessing and dedicating babies, reading Scripture, self-care, sharing our faith, discipling others... the list goes on and on. I would encourage you to grow in these areas of your life.
This Sunday, we finish up by looking at the practice of Silence and Solitude. We certainly struggle with these things nowadays, don't we? Let's see what God has for us in this.

Just as an update... probably many of you have heard we had a water leak this last week in the North Building. We literally had a river flowing through our heat ducts! Our crew that we hired found the problem and we still have water in the buildings... but now just inside the pipes! We also had to replace a boiler in our heating system for the Sanctuary Building recently.
Thank you again for your financial help! We can't do this without you! You are a blessing!
