Hello Church Family!
This week I have been reflecting on the goodness of God. We had a great Easter celebration, didn't we? I am so thankful for the hope we have in Christ!
And so we move past Easter into a new season and a new sermon series and maybe a surprising topic for following up Easter: what do we do with doubt?
The truth is that even as the resurrection of Jesus was being played out, there are several in the story still struggling. And it seemed to be because Jesus didn't quite fit the mold of what they were expecting.
It seems like remodeling homes is all the rage on the TV these days. I think it is always interesting to see how they transform homes to something incredibly fresh and new. They can move a wall or two and add a fresh coat of paint and it is all good again. And yet, they rarely do anything with the foundation itself. Most of the time, that drastic of a step is not needed.
When we are struggling with doubt in our lives, where do we usually start? What do we look for to fix? The series we are starting on Sunday is called Reconstructing Faith. How can we find hope again? How can we rebuild after something has shaken our faith? What does God have for you in this?
We will also be continuing in our season of Easter Offering for World Evangelism. You can give April 9, 16, or 23. All monies marked for this will be sent directly to the World Evangelism Fund. Thanks for your help!
